Pantone has turned a new leaf this year and it turns out that the new leaf is literally as leafy as it could get! The color of the year that Pantone unveiled this year is Green. Paving our pavement to a digitized future making us forgetful of our essentials, Pantone has brought a fresh new take and inspired the world to become one with nature once again. Although the concept of being environmentally friendly is not a new revelation, but the concept has definitely hit its high this year, with fast fashion brands such as H&M also partaking in the go green movement. Pantone even partnered with Airbnb to generate an experience that is in correlation with color. But the color of the year did not shy away from making a big splash across the runway with brands like Gucci, Kenzo, Balenciaga, Zac Posen, and Cynthia Rowley, making the most of the minimal green. The mantra Pantone recites this year is refresh, revive, restore and replenish, and we cannot help but chant along!
